16 fault codes logged, according to Land Rover's TSB, Only 3 of these are "hard" codes ie: -P0513 Incorrect Immobilizer Key. -P0826 Up &Down Shift Switch Circuit. -C1A00 Control Module (I'm not 100% sure this is a hard code) The rest are all "U" prefix 'Lost communication' codes. I am focusing on the hard codes first, so any info on these would
SOURCE: In my Land Rover Discovery 2000, the ABS, traction. Known as the Three Amigos, it can suggest several things. 1) Faulty ABS Sensor. 2) Faulty Shuttlevalve switch/sensor. 3) Wheel bearing faulty. Posted on Feb 22, 2010.
Hello I am new to this forum. I have recently purchased a 1970 mk 2 defender with a 3.9 v8 range rover engine in. The engine is from a 1992 rover. When accelerating it will only get to around half revs and then it is like the engine is restricted! I have cleaned the spring on the rear of the air intake and replaced the fuel filter.
If you have the Land Rover in-line servo installation - as used on the S3 - with the master cylinder and reservoir on the end - there is no pedal adjustment - the master cylinder simply bolts on the end of the servo and there is no pedal linkage adjustment. This uses an entirely different brake pedal box - the 'normal' one looks like the clutch
With a lot of cars, yes this is a possible indicator of a low battery. However, in my experience with Rover's, they tend to throw a battery light first. It could also be a bad wheel speed sensor or any number of other things. 1. r/LandRover.
A few of the common Discovery LR3 problems include the following: Front lower control arm issues & tie rods Thermostat (V8) Ball joints and toe links Tailgate lock mechanism failure Air compressor failure Electronic Hand Brake Failure Electrical gremlins are caused by faulty or low-charged batteries.
When I quizzed the mechanic about the faults he said “if your diagnostic tool reads zero faults it’s not a Land Rover”. Our MY12 has developed a new trick where not all the doors are locking or unlocking. When locking the vehicle all doors lock except for the drivers side rear passenger door which can be opened (on doing so the alarm sounds). If this door is manually locked from inside then it cannot be opened externally.
sierrafery. For that sensor fault code the problem is more likely with the hub not with the sensor nor with it's circuit. For the connector it's enough to treat it with electrical contact spray, IMO it's not a very usefull thing to hardwire the sensor cos then each time you buy a hub you'll have to cut the wires.
Just to the left of the center under the steering wheel. You can get at it by removing the lower panel on the drivers side (just pops out) and there is an access hole that allows access to the switch. Removal is managed by rotating it 1/4 turn to the right and pulling it out. Insertion is the reverse.
2. Location. U.S.A. Greetings every one. New to this forum - first time poster. I am here with request for info or advice. What is the issue: I got about 1 mo. ago a new Disco 5 (MY22). It is a P360 HSE. Good thing ( I thought ) it was on the dealer lot, and we have purchased it right away as the price was ok (ish) and had must of what I wanted.
